In The Name of Allah-SWT the Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
SECRETS OF REVELATION:

May Abu Lahab's hands break and may he perish! His real name was 'Abdul 'Uzzah, a son of Hadhrat 'Abdul Mutlib. Since his complexion was reddish, he came to be known as Abu Lahab. (lit: Father of Flame). He vehemently opposed the Holy Prophet-SW and so Allaah-SWT proclaims him a dweller of the Hell by name. His fortune availed him not. He developed an uncurable blister, awfully stinking, and died of it in quarantine. The overwhelming stench did not allow anyone to get near his corpse so that it could be buried. Thus the house he lived in was caved down on his dead body. His wealth and his possessions did not benefit him in anyway. His wife will also enter the blazing Hell with him. She used to spread thorns on the path likely to be taken by the Holy Prophet-SW and will be yoked in Hell with a collar made of twisted palm fibres.
